Miqdar runs entirely on your device. Your profile, food log, and weight data are stored on your iPhone and, if you use iCloud, synced through your own private iCloud account. There is no account to create, we have no server that receives your data, and we do not collect, sell, or share your information.
What Miqdar stores, and where
Your profile (body metrics, goals, targets), your food and weight entries, saved foods, and meal photos are stored on your device.
If iCloud is enabled, this data syncs across your devices through Apple’s CloudKit in your own private iCloud account. Only you can reach it — we cannot.
Artificial intelligence
Food logging, coaching, and meal plans are powered by Apple Intelligence, Apple’s on-device foundation models. When a request needs more capability and your device supports it, Miqdar may use Apple’s Private Cloud Compute, which processes the request without retaining your data and without exposing it to us. No food descriptions, photos, or profile data are ever sent to us or to any third-party AI service.
Health data
If you choose “Fill from Apple Health,” Miqdar reads your weight, height, date of birth, and biological sex only to set your starting targets. This is read with your permission, used on your device, and never uploaded or shared. Miqdar does not write to Apple Health on its own.
Photos
Meal and nutrition-label photos you capture are analyzed on your device and stored with the related entry. They are not uploaded to us.
Analytics and tracking
Miqdar contains no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party trackers. It does not track you across other apps or websites.
Children
Miqdar is a general-audience wellness app and is not directed at children under 13.
Deleting your data
Because your data lives on your device and in your iCloud, removing the app — and its iCloud data from Settings ▸ your name ▸ iCloud — removes it. There is no server-side copy for us to hold.
